Part IV:Yoga In The Sky

Oct 20, 2022
The original meaning of the word yoga is "union" and "harmony". The ancient Indians practiced yoga in pursuit of the perfect union between the self and heaven and earth, which gradually evolved into the current breathing techniques, asanas, and meditations to harmonize the balance of mind and body.

Yoga is also divided into "physical yoga" and "spiritual yoga". To practice yoga, the mind should be completely free from material disturbances and be able to look at the self with a pure concept, so that the senses can be in a transcendent joy, in order to acquire a kind of wisdom and a high grade of personality.

"Yoga for the Body" is a kind of fitness and beauty sport, a kind of aerobic exercise with stillness and movement in the middle of movement. "Yoga for the soul" is a kind of spiritual way of life, a kind of laughing at the breeze of life. It is a way to find and feel the splendor of life through the dust of the years.

Modern society is a world full of competition, it is the survival of the fittest. The tension of the rhythm of life, too fast, so that people are invariably full of depression in their hearts, success at the same time also feel that their bodies and minds are depleted, and thus feel bored with life, which is the performance of "sub-health". Knowing that life is open but not fast, the moon is full, a truly mature person will know how to self-regulate, combining labor and effort, will be cathartic, will be entertaining, not forcing themselves to pursue superpower goals.

People's life is often full of many hardships, many guilt, many confusion, many helplessness, so many times by their own "heart prison" created by the system, so "sit and watch the sky". So I think the ordinary mind is a kind of "Tao", is the kind of look at the mountain or mountain, look at the water or the water of the general sentiment.

So when I have time, I put on my backpack and go to a formalized yoga studio, where I slowly enter the world of yoga with the gentle and soothing music and the beat of the teacher. I let my body stretch, stretch, and change, as if I were jumping lightly in the nature, playing like a fish in the water. I feel like I am walking on the soft sand, the sea water kissing my feet, the sea breeze blowing, gently tugging up my skirt and caressing my hair in the wind. I slowly combed the mind, wandering in the boundless "quiet world", so that the heart no longer lost in the forest of desire, lightly sweeping the dusty mind, to find the original purity, tranquility.

In the sound of the music, I felt like I was at a lotus pond full of lotus leaves. The lotus pond under the moon has the same charm as the "Moonlight in the Lotus Pond" written by the prose writer Mr. Zhu Ziqing. "The lotus leaves are infinitely blue, and the lotus flowers are distinctively red. When the evening breeze comes, the lotus blossoms, which are undefiled by the sludge, bloom quietly, and the fragrance floats, the whole world is so peaceful and beautiful. As if in the spring flowers and autumn leaves dance like a dazzling fall, as if in the cracks in the small grass stubbornly burrowed out, containing nature-like faith and hope. As if reading the soul through the years after the search and longing of the bubble, so that the soul is alive and full of bright colors.

The life of a person is like a trip, along the way there are endless bumps and mud, but also have to see the endless spring flowers and autumn. Each person's life is not the same, but fate is fair, for you to close a door at the same time, will open another window for you, perhaps the sky outside the window is more distant. The key is to see if you can sharpen a strong heart, a pair of wise eyes, whether through the dust and wind of the years to find a brilliant starry sky. So do not complain about how life treats you, but should ask how you are treating life. It is "planting actions will harvest habits, planting habits will harvest character, planting character will harvest destiny", the psychologist-philosopher William James said. James said so.

So no matter how life is, no matter how life happens, the so-called "water in the hands of the moon", you should know how to cherish what you have got, and learn to forget what you have lost, to create a healthy and healthy mind for yourself, to find a quiet and calm harbor for your soul. Perhaps it is "the mountain is heavy and there is no way out, and there is a village in the dark". This is also the world of yoga, the sky of yoga that we are looking for!
